A New House NEW DREAMS

I have always wanted to love on property. Ever since we moved away form the like the 1/2 area we lived on in cali when I wa like 9. But six yrs ago Jeff and I bought our first house in town. It was a fixer upper and we had worked hard in the last six yrs fixing it up so that we could sale it and buy prpperty. So ofter all that time and work we finally DID IT! We sold our first house for 115,000 after we bought it for 85,000!

And we turned around and bought a 1998 manufactored home on 10 acreas. Our family is very happy we have lived there for about a month now and many times Jeff and I have looked at eather and said this is how it should ne, and the Jeff reminds me this is now how it is.

Our familysends more time togerater and we are outside more. When the wind is not blowing and before it got cold, we would sit on the deck and have dinner and watch the sun go sown. It was great. The other day Jeff was replacing a window I was reading a book in the grass and the boys we playing in the yard. And the dog was playing with us too, and that is the best part my friends my dog doesn't run off as much! Any ways the boys we running around and the dog was chasing them and it as great. I had followed Cody as he fallowed his brothers in to the back field and it was great to watch. They were having so much fun running around and chasing the dog and Laughton and playing. It was perfect when we came back to the house All I could thing of it is so worth it.

So we are settling in finding friends in our new ward and getting used of the long drive to work.
And getting to know the only living neighbors that we have, ( our new house is across from the cemetery.) They are a truly nice couple ( a very nice change of pace) who put up with our kids nicely. For Benjamin b-day he gave hours back rides to all the kids it was very nice.

We are having a great time.

What a week

Sorry it has been a little crazy around here.

Last week on Wednesday my husband Jeff called me about 12:30 and told me he was going home sick from work. I thought to myself "wow it must be bad, he usually just deals with it." See last time he had the 24 hour flu he went to work after throwing up you know true dedication. Seeing how I was at work I told him to go home and take it easy. Shortly after getting home I guess he threw up then he just crawled in bed and shivered. When I got home a few hours latter I checked on him and told him that I thought he had a bit of flu and maybe a little constipated too. He went to take a bath to see if that would make his back feel better then he crawled back into bed. I am trying in the meantime to deal with our oldest son Nathan who had gotten in trouble at school again and our two other children and make dinner and cancel the other things that Jeff had going on so I would go check on him as often as I could. I ran to the store and bought pop and a few other things all trying to help him. By the time I got all the kids in bed and was trying to relax and watch TV for the night I was tried both physically and mentally. It was the season premiere of LOST and I was very exited to watch it. So when Jeff called me downstairs He wanted help drying him self off. I could help but to think to myself what a big baby, but I did it and got him back to bed and went back upstairs to watch lost. I went down on a comical break and decided to take his temp. it was 102.3 I begin to worry just a little. Ever time I checked on him I tried to get him to drink something water 7 up anything. But he did not want any of it. After LOST was over I went to bed after giving Jeff Some Tylenol pm to help break the fever and let him sleep. We did not sleep very well hes was in pain so he did not sleep well and he was so hot next to me I didn't sleep well. I got up in the morning and good thing I has that Thursday off I was going to go in to have a meeting at work at 9 am then Nathan had a doc appointment at 2pm. I got up and feed the boys some french toast as I was sitting down to eat some myself Jeff called me downstairs again, this time he wanted to know if he could see a doc the pain that has been right under his rib cage had moved down and now hurt in lets say more tender parts. I told him I would call urgent care and find out when the opened. They opened at 8am so I helped him get dressed with was crazy because he complained about the elastic band on underwear and All he would put on was pj pants.

We got to Rockwood urgent care a few min. before 8 so I went to make sure I knew were I was taking him I went inside and the lady at the front counter told me that they were not opened yet they had to wait for a doc to get there to open. She pointed me towards the wheelchairs when I told her why I was there. As I am getting one I am thinking to myself, " Will he let me put him in one of these?" So I go and get him from the car and load him in the chair ( OH my it must really hurt). We are sitting out side the doors when they open up. Another man walked in before us now in my option this man had nothing wrong or at least he didn't look like it. He was dressed in slacks and a nice shirt and his hair is combed. On the other hand Jeff is barley suitable to be out side and hes in a wheelchair hair crazy and eyes closed trying to relax enough so it wont hurt as bad. The other man takes forever at the counter and of course they don't have both windows open finally after like 10 min they are done with him and its our turn. Because of the way the window is set up the lady cant hear Jeff and I at the same time so I have to ask Jeff the ? then tell the lady the answer and go back and forth back and forth. They need Jeff to sign papers and I have to move him around for that, I pay them our $20 co-pay and they say it will be a few min. until we are helped. Luckily it was less then 5 min before they called us back, they start the nurse exam and take his vitals then tell him to undress and sit on the table. It hurts to move so much that I take off Jeff's coat and shoes and that is as far as we get before the Doc comes in. The Doc helps me get him from chair onto the table and started his exam. He checks Jeff's stomic and Then helps him lay down ans says, "Well I don't want you to eat or drink anything because I think that you have appendicitis and need to have surgery to take them out. One of Jeff's goals in life is to never have to have surgery in his life and so when the Doc said that he was very upset and started to tear up. Me one the other hand could not stop there I did start to cry. The doc said that they would give him a shot for the pain (another thing Jeff does not like) and draw blood (again w/the needles) and take him down for a ct. This all happen so fast. It all came back that yes Jeff's appendix had gone bad and they were going to need to come out. They got us a doc and a room at scared heart and I got him dressed and drove him over there myself that goodness its not very far and the shot had finally started to work. As we get there the nurses are like OK he is our priority and you don't leave him until your job is done. Witch made it hard when our nurse (who was LDS) tried to clear the room so the missionary's could give Jeff a blessing. My dad showed up right before the took him off for surgery. The doc said it would take 40 min and then at least and hour in recovery he would find me and let me know how it went when it was all over.

Dad and I went down to have lunch while he was in surgery. I had called his parents but they were still both at work and waiting for me too call with the latest news. Dad and I had lunch and while having lunch my sister Shari called to check on me and see how things were going, I thus found out that my Mom had called all my family and told them I felt a little guilty I had not gotten a hold of most of Jeff's family yet. But I had been pretty busy. I send Dad off to help SarahAnn get Nathan and the Boys off to Nathans Doc appointment and they sat in the waiting room. There I called the rest of Jeff's family that I could both grandparents and His Boss. Man that was funny his Boss had given him a hard time the day before when he left about the fact that Clark his boss was sick too but was working threw it, so now that Jeff is in surgery he felt bad about giving him a hard time. His grandpa came down and sat with me and it took longer on the surgery then the doc said it would so I started to worry. Then the doc came up and told be that his appendix had ruptured and so it took longer to clean up but they were still able to do it all threw the lap percopie and so he only had three small incisions. I was greatly impressed that they could do all that with out having to open him all up. I was a little grossed out at the pics he gave him, one of the puss in his pelvis, one of the appendix where it had rupersed, one of the black appendix itself and on of the appendix in a bag after they had taken it out. It was pretty gross. Jeff's grandpa had to leave they were going out of town. Shorty after he left Dad SarahAnn and all three of the boys got there. After they had been there for a little while the nurse told us they had moved Jeff and we could wait in the waiting room on the floor he was going to be on if we wanted. Did this have to do anything with the fact Benjamin my three yr old was walking around showing people pics of his Dads guts I am not real sure but we thought we would leave so that it was quieter for those still waiting for there family members to come out of surgery.

So we moved to the 5Th floor this made me kinda edge because the last time I waited in this waiting room was when my aunt Anna passed away. The Nurse promised when she saw the whites of Jeff's eyes she would come get me. When she did my plan was to have all the boys see there Dad then sent them home. So I did that right as they were leaving Joe Kim and they two boys Ages 4 and 3 show up. They did not leave until Micky there 3 yr old started to throw a fit, by then his bother Scott was there and so was his step sister Courtney and her boyfriend. I finally kicked them out because he had hit the pain med buttin multiple times in a row. As they were leaving Scott told me his Mom was going to be here soon. The nurse came in and was able to talk to Jeff for the first Time with out all these people being there we talked about the little things like having to got to the bathroom and he actually got to see his stitches for the first time. Shorty after we were done with all this his Mom showed up with his Sister Diana and here two kids 4 yr old Boy and 1 yr old girl. It was a long DAY. Finally they left and I told Jeff that I thought I should got home and spend some time with the boys before bed time I got home a little before 7.

He spent two more days in the hospital, Friday and Saturday afternoon when I got off work they released him. By dinner Sunday night he was back eating dinner at the table w/ the fam. By Tues he was fixing things around the house and Thursday he went shopping and set up his reloader. Friday he helped some guy get this new plow on his truck. He went to the doc and was released to go back to work on light duty. Today he went to church and I stayed home with the sick kids. I would say he all back to normal. Thank goodness.
